Tuesday Night Rocks - 8/24/2010
Tuesday really rocked with the music blaring, the player hitting, the moon rising over the lake with Mount Rainier reflecting the setting sun, it was a beautiful warm August night at Husky Stadium. The practice was fun to watch as well, as the team was out in just helmets and shoulder pads.

This is about the time when training camp really gets to be a chore. The players are tired, they are anxious to hit someone other than a teammate and here comes another day of two practices, running the same drills and listening to the coaches barking orders.

Full pad scrimmage today under clear skies with a couple thousand in the stands, actually I was expecting a bigger crowd but those on hand greeted the team with loud applause as they entered the stadium.

Day 10 Practice Notes - 8/20/2010
The offensive line was a little different today with Kelemete out of this practice. Christine was playing center with the starters as Schaefer moved out to tackle. These coaches are proving the need to play the guys in multiple positions just for these types of issues. As we all know anything can happen in the blink of an eye.

Scrimmage Summary: 8/21 - 8/17/2010
The first team offense only had two drives but they worked like a well-oiled machine scoring both times. Jake connected with Devin Augilar for a 36 yard touchdown after Augilar got behind Taz Stevenson and Adam Long to make a twisting diving catch on what wasn’t Locker’s best throw.

Coach Martin had each guy holding a football in one hand as they went to a field punt, they would then throw the football in their hand in the air, catch the punt then catch the ball they just threw requiring incredible concentration.

Monday Night Live - 8/16/2010
It was a great night for the Huskies, a new five star commit, a great night for some intense practice, and the return of Jonathan George. What more could you want? Now they just need a couple more August commits and it will have been a great month of August despite the loss of Cooper for the year.

Weekend Final: Focus on Running Backs and Quarterbacks - 8/14/2010
It was a warm but pleasant evening at Husky stadium with a few hundred people there to watch the Dawgs in their second workout of the day. As promised I focused on the QB’s and RB’s. Unfortunately neither Polk nor Cooper took any turns in the 11 on 11’s.

Day Five: Dawgs Hitting Hard - 8/13/2010
It was a hot one out here today and the boys were in full gear. Nate Willimas and Chris Polk got the day off which allowed Cooper, Callier, and Parker to get more reps with the ones. As Coach Sark said it gets them use to the speed of playing with and against the first teamers.

Day Three: Focus on Linebackers and DB's - 8/11/2010
Light bulbs today, helmets and shoulder pads and a lot more hitting. The older players were flying around and you could just tell they were happy to get some real hits in. The younger players at times were lost as the speed of practice was much more intense.

Fall Camp Day Two: The Defensive Dawgs are on the Move - 8/10/2010
Today our focus was on the defense and there was some good work done by the young men on the field. Unfortunately there were only about 100 people or less out there to see the action. The Huskies were in helmets and what Sark likes to call it their "underwear". Saturday should be fun as they will go full gear.

Weedston: Fall Preview, the Offense - 8/4/2010
It’s only a few days before camp starts and it’s time to look at the offense. This side of the ball should be the strength of the 2010 team. The skill positions are as good as any in the PAC10 and possibly in the country. With Jake, Polk and all the wide receivers everyone expects boatloads of excitement on game day.

Weedston: Fall Preview, the Defense - 8/2/2010
Time for a look at what we can expect from the Dawgs of Montlake for the upcoming football season. First let’s take a look at the defense. It seems this year’s version of the Huskies will only go as far as the defense takes them. Losing their two best defenders will not help and the big question is who will step up and fill those two big holes left by graduation.
